Jackson Stern’s review published on Letterboxd:
“A b y s s.”
Carax and Sparks’ vision of destruction and deconstruction. Beautifully acted (especially by Driver who gives probably his best performance to date), directed with an insane and incredible vision and rigor, and scored and designed to a sublime degree.
It’s as catchy as it is haunting.
Really indescribable and needs to be seen to be believed. And it’s very divisive, unsurprisingly.
Goddamn, is it a work of art.
