Jacob’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is a hard one to review (numerically) because it doesn’t follow most film metrics. It is Wes at his most Anderson-y, and in this instance the style IS the substance. So although the film goes at a breakneck speed and often times is difficult to track, it is a delight to watch and full of passion and humor. Analyzing the story would be counterproductive. All in all though, as a tribute to the New Yorker, and a masterpiece of set design, costume, and ensemble efforts, the film deserves its praise - even if it isn’t Anderson’s best.
