Once Upon a Time...In America.
Scorsese doing "alternative" (or, at least, "factually speculative") US history, playing with tech (and mostly getting it right) to recreate key moments in a nation's damnation at the hands of corruptible BTS power. De Niro is great. Pesci is stupendous. Pacino is God Level. A perfect capper to his now minted "Our Little Thing" trilogy, only without the glitz and glamour of GOODFELLAS or CASINO. Every step of the way, we know how this is going to end for even the folks who only get one line on this massive, bloody stage. A deathbed confessional worth every fucking penny Netflix spent to let Marty have carte blanche.
