Inception ★★★★★

I knew that my 100th review since joining Letterboxd had to be a good one. I hoped that it would be an amazing movie, a film that took my breath away and still hasn't returned it over a week later. And I found that in Inception. This is how you take a complicated and amazing story and make it work. Christopher Nolan is a legitimate genius and I am unbelievably impressed by his body of work. I think I am leaning more and more towards Nolan being my favorite director, dethroning Scorsese. I'm still not quite sure, but Nolan films make up 40% of my top 5, which is why I'm currently leaning towards him. Anyways, Nolan's direction is fantastic here and he is backed up by an amazing cast who all deliver fantastic performances. It's hard to pick a standout because all of the performances are so good. If I had to pick, it would probably be Leo or Hardy, but everyone is amazing. The visuals here are stunning and Hans Zimmer brings a great score. Overall, this movie is fantastic and has made my top 5 movies of all time. I already adore this film and cannot wait to rewatch it.
