Yeah, after seeing this again I now think this is a masterpiece. DEFINITELY EASILY FOR SURE one of the best films of the year. It’s not perfect, but I think it’s one of those films that is only enhanced by its imperfections ya know. I already liked it a lot after my first viewing, but I had some things that kept me from LOVING it, but those things did not matter to me at all upon rewatch. This is definitely gonna be a movie I revisit a lot. I actually prefer this to the original now. I really like the way Tilda Swindon referred to it as more of a “cover” of the original than a “remake” because I think that’s a much better way of describing it. But yes, Luca did SUCH a fantastic job.
It’s so cool hearing a soundtrack by Thom Yorke in a movie. We got a Johnny Greenwood score AND a Thom Yorke score within the same year, that’s CRAZY. Radiohead invented cinema!
Aaaaannndd I’m very much in love with Mia Goth in this movie. Ma’am, PLEASE let us give our souls to the dance together.
Oh man Summer by BROCKHAMPTON is playing in the car right now oof it’s so amazing and dreamy UGH bearface ya know end of review
