    Eighth Grade

It’s so amazing. I love it so much. I feel so connected to the character of Kayla. Rooting for her feels like I’m also rooting for myself, ya know? Can’t wait to see what else Bo Burnham can do in the future.

    If Beale Street Could Talk

Beautiful and incredible. Barry Jenkins is such an amazing filmmaker. Every performance is absolutely phenomenal. The score is extremely good and emotional. Definitely one of the best films of the year.

We did not DESERVE a Fincher/Sorkin collaboration, but im so glad we got it.

  • Incendies

Oh my god. That was a lot to take in. But wow. I’m so in shock rn from what I just saw. THE most shocking twist I’ve ever seen in a film. Hopefully I can rewatch this one day and write some more interesting thoughts on it, but for now all I can say is wow.

    Denis. Villenueve. Wow.

  • Game Night

    Game Night

If there was any justice in the world, this would get a Best Direction nom at the Oscars and Jesse Plemons would get a Best Supporting Actor nom. Also: RACHEL MCADAMS FOR BEST ACTRESS!!!!

Who gave this movie permission to be THIS WELL-MADE?

  • Hereditary

So many scenes that just REALLY stick with you. Ari Aster’s direction is easily some of the best of the year. Every performance is amazing. Still super great.

  • Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

    Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

I’ve now seen this in theaters 4 times.

After the movie, a kid was quoting John Mulaney as Spider-Ham and it was an emotional moment. The next generation is in good hands.

I love Gwen Stacy’s character in this SO MUCH. In fact, this movie has like 5 characters that are all some of my favorites like ever haha. Peter B. Parker is definitely my favorite on-screen iteration of Peter.

    Juuuuussstt amazing.

  • Spider-Man 3

    Spider-Man 3

    -a TRUE Christmas movie

-I still really enjoy this movie for what it is. I love this trilogy

-Christopher Young’s score is amazing and during the scene where Sandman is created it just KILLS me wow

-THE SCENE where he’s dancing down the street and all that is unironically one of my favorite movie scenes ever. And the jazz club dancing scene is a masterpiece. That’s what I want to achieve. I need more of that type of content in…

  • The Big Short

If only the whole movie was as good as the last 15 minutes were.

  • The Night Before

    The Night Before

    Great stuff right here.

I had no idea any of them were in this at all so that was a very nice surprise.

John Mulaney: Kid Gorgeous at Radio City

I was feeling intensely depressed bc ya know being alive ya know and I decided to watch this and it was a very good decision. John Mulaney is the best of us.
