The Irishman

The Irishman ★★★★★

The Irishman is directed by the greatest director of all time and stars three of the greatest actors of all time. Is there any way this would've gone wrong?

A deeply melancholic catharsis on the repercussions of violence, the film feels like the perfect capper to the careers of DeNiro, Pacino, Pesci and especially Martin Scorsese. It often times acts like an antithesis to the glamorized gangster films that made these legends famous.

The dense and meaningful script, the godlike editing and the immortal talent of a master craftsman make sure that the film earns every minute of its 3.5 hour runtime. A legitimate masterpiece that I regret not watching on the big screen (Y'all should've atleast had a limited release for this here).
