Kes

Kes ★★★★★

One of the most devastating portraits of the human spirit ever put to the screen.

What makes Ken Loach's film so special is the thought it's not just any other coming-of-age story but it's also a heart-wrenching portrait of the economic state of Britain in the late 1960's.

It's hard to not watch Kes without just simply wanting that feeling of happiness to last much longer than it does, but you know it's set to remain stagnant in one such state.
