Scoob!

Scoob!

Barely even qualifies as a Scooby-Doo movie outside of the recreation of the original opening, because after that it doesn't even feel like it's ever invested in the actual mystery anymore.

Somehow we haven't moved past the thought that overly referential humour in children's movies means adults are going to find that same enjoyment, but they had to find a way to reference A Star is Born and Tinder in a movie that's supposed to be the start of a cinematic universe centered around Hanna Barbera characters. Everything that would make a Scooby-Doo film is traded off for all of that and some pretty looking visuals. There's no heart, it's all just a ploy.

This is hot garbage.
