Just like The Gentleman, this movie was a surprise when it was announced. I really was hoping for it to wow me like The Gentleman, but it was over all disappointing. Honestly I was very lost throughout the film. It kept on jumping from present to past in such a confusing way that it just made it really hard to follow. For the story I don’t think that was necessary and it didn’t making the viewing experience very pleasant. Also this 2 hour movie was such a drag, it genuinely felt like it would never end. Scenes were unnecessarily long and many unnecessary sequences that added nothing to the film. Jason Statham was Jason Statham, the tough guy with very little emotion. He wasn’t bad he just played his typical character with a splash of menace. It’s overall not a terrible film by any means, it’s still a very well crafted film, but if formatted differently and shortened it would’ve worked better.
