    King Richard 2021

Wish the movie cared a bit more about the women at the center of the story, but even with not much material Saniyya Sidney and Aunjanue Ellis really shine! I really feel like if Aunjanue had ONE MORE scene she would be walking away with this Oscar. I wanted her to go off on that nosy neighbor, but unfortunately that just wasn't in the character's nature. This is a great dad movie - there's always one in the oscar race…

Wild how even knowing it’s coming the attempted suicide halfway through this musical comedy is just SO jarring

Delightfully insane - love that they say “it’ll be a magnificent obsession” THREE TIMES - almost thought Rock Hudson was going to operate on Jane Wyman’s brain shirtless? What an adventure.

    fuck those kids!
not only were they selfish, entitled, and obnoxious - but they came home during a snow storm and didn't take their shoes off to come into their mother's house!? unacceptable.
