Love when a film describes itself as “a fable” then proceeds to not be a fable at all. You wrote a weird fake little horror story about a real person! Just own it! 

Honestly loled my way through most of this and I can’t tell how much of that was intentional or not. Gets kinda boring in the third act, but all the spooky Shining-esque shit in the middle really worked for me. Looks great. Love the score. Appreciate the choice to make Queen Elizabeth the British equivalent of Ruth Gordon in Rosemary’s Baby. 

This is not a movie about Di, but about the way we project ourselves onto her. Dream comes true turned into a Bluebeard story. I just wish they went somewhere interesting and subversive at the end instead of KFC.
