Columbus ★★★★½

Something about this just works. The dialogue - about architecture and meth and everything in between - is interesting, and gripping. Some of the shots were extremely unique. There were several moments in the film where I thought the plot was going to go off the rails, where I was thinking it would slip and falter and ruin itself, but it just never did.

Cho and Richardson are both very good, and sometimes that’s all that really matters. On the surface, it never felt like they could really make it as a pair, and in the end, they don’t. They don’t even try, and that is where the film won me over. I went for a drive after this and it made me rethink how I see buildings, nature, architecture, and I think that’s what movies are about
