The Irishman

The Irishman ★★★★½

"Hoffa" by way of Ellroy's Underworld Trilogy, but all used as an allegory to reflect on the director.

We know these events the storyteller is describing. These are "actors" we know. The actors fade away, leaving only the storyteller. It may be the end of an era, but the door is always left open for one last story.
