A sequel that improves upon its predecessor in every way, whilst also paying homage to it. Absolutely phenomenal!

Seeing this in a cinema screen (IMAX preferably) is an absolute MUST. The action sequences are breathtaking, which is expected from a Tom Cruise blockbuster.

Not saying much more but I think I almost had a panic attack during the final act, it was incredibly tense and immersive. Definitely one of the best blockbusters I’ve seen recently and I can’t wait for the new Mission Impossible entries now.

“Janie, today I quit my job. And then I told my boss to go fuck himself, and then I blackmailed him for almost $60,000. Pass the asparagus.”

Oh man, it’s films like this that remind me why cinema is my favourite form of art. Nothing else can move me in a way like films do.

This screenplay is one of the finest to ever grace cinema. From the beginning I was completely sucked into the lives of these characters who…

Quite a solid Irish drama feature film. Delighted this got the strong cast it deserves. Paul Mescal is such a fine talent and he continues to impress here by giving a performance unlike any other he’s take on before.

As for the film itself, it’s a nicely paced ‘slow burner’ that shows the devastating effects a lie can have in such a small community where everyone knows each other, almost similar to The Hunt (2012) in a way but that film is in a league of its own.

It’s good, but that’s about it for me unfortunately. Quick runtime might not have helped me in trying to grow a deeper connection to the lead characters.

The main theme played on the violin is beautiful though. Will be picking up the Criterion next month.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Matt Reeves has created a truly special take on Batman. After Zack Snyder's atrocious Batman films I lost interest in the characters future, but this film is one that I think will get people a lot more interested in The Batman. Gotham City's immersive atmosphere sucks you right in to feel the corruption that riddles it, and leaves you wanting more.

The Riddler was the perfect villain to kick-start this Batman series with. Seeing Batman being the worlds greatest detective…

First time back in the cinema since Tenet, and my first time going solo in the cinema as well. No complaints at all.

Wilder is now on 3/3 for me, each of his films I've seen are almost flawless in every way. Can't wait to see Sunset Boulevard and Double Indemnity next.

    Also, Marilyn Monroe. Enough said.
