If someone told me years ago that one of David Fincher's best films would be about Facebook, I would have told them that they're nuts. But The Social Network ended up being an all around perfect film in every way.

Jesse Eisenberg was a PERFECT casting to play Mark Zuckerberg. I don't know how Zuckerberg acts in real life, but I do know that Eisenberg gave an amazing performance, and looked the part perfectly. I think the only other celebrity Eisenberg could fit the look even better for would be Moot. Other than Eisenberg, the rest of the cast does a fantastic performance including Justin Timberlake who, like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is always incredibly fun to watch on screen despite the fact neither of them will ever give an Oscar worthy performance(probably). The script is top notch as well. All the dialogue is sharp, clever, and occasionally funny.

Like every Fincher film, The Social Network has incredible cinematography, even more so than all his other films besides The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Every shot looks great, is clear, and full of detail. The absolute best part about The Social Network is the original score. Atticus Ross and Trent Reznor NEED to score more films, they are the most talented film scorers in my opinion. And what is beautiful cinematography and a masterful original score, if the editing didn't blend everything together perfectly. It's no wonder The Social Network took home an Academy Award for best adapted screenplay, original score, and editing. That said I am still upset over the loss of best picture and best director, but hey you can't win them all!

I anxiously await Fincher's next film, Gone Girl, but until then I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with rewatching his old masterpieces along with season 2 of House of Cards next year.
