Letterboxd — Your life in film

The second story is a funnier sex comedy than anything mainstream in over 10 years lol

First half feels like a Malick film for guys that hit the gym five days a week and do a ton of coke on the weekend. Second half Michael Bay flexes showing that he’s not just a god of action but can create one of the most emotionally thrilling movies ever created. Second only to Bad Boys 2.

First half is a much worse version of the original filled with way too many horrible pop culture references, but once the plot twist happens the film becomes extremely fun and feels like exactly what you would want a Sonic movie to be and then when you reach the climax it will have even the most casual Sonic fan soy facing at how cool it gets. The first is a better film but the second is a better Sonic film. If you cut 30 minutes from the first half and all the pop culture references, you’d get the perfect adaptation.

The only thing we need to do is imprison everyone in invoked in the making of this.

A horror limited series about a girl who gets her short student film stolen from her with writing quality that feels like a student film. Also we get it you love Lynch you didn’t need to rip off the Lost Highway title font and Twin Peaks The Return end credits font on top of that.

A movie that is 100% fan service works perfectly for something like One Piece that has so many amazing characters that you'd love to see all at once. The problem is that something like this should have been at least 3 if not 4 hours long. In just under two hours this ends before it really begins which is a common problem with anime movies based off a popular shonen but hurts my soul even more with something this beautifully animated.

Starts off as character study of someone who feels inspired as fuck by an old crazy roommate of mine making me really dig it then just quickly before the half way point turns into incredibly sinister, vile, and predatory film that just feels gross to watch. By the end he faces very little consequences and made me regret even watching this. How are there so many feel complaining about Licorice Pizza but not THIS??? The *NSYNC cover though was iconic at least.

The Matrix Resurrections is a perfect epilogue, deconstruction, and potential new chapter to the greatest trilogy in cinema. Not only is this not a cash in, but feels necessary to what The Matrix is. Masterpiece.

Final fight between Neo and Smith is peak cinema. People have come around on Reloaded but they need to come around on this too.

Yeah, that’s Philip Seymour Hoffman’s son alright. The torch has been passed.

Wes Anderson’s style over the years has gotten so egregious and annoying. But now it’s SO over the top it’s wrapped back around to me liking it again. Anyways the first story is amazing and this is Wes’ best in a very very very long time.

Essentially could have been a Seinfeld movie because this was a movie about nothing.
