This is a first-time watch for me. I think I like this movie—a lot.

    V for Vendetta

I just completed my annual viewing of this movie. It's always a great watch, but it packs an extra punch the night before an election.

This is my second viewing of the movie. This time, I listened to the Rob Zombie audio commentary.

  • Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers

Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers

I've seen "Halloween 6" several times, but this was my first viewing of the Unrated Producer's Cut. The last act is very different. At this point, I'm not sure which version I like best.

  • The Omen

    The Omen

For this viewing, I listed to the commentary track with director Richard Donner and Brian Helgeland. This was my least favorite of the three included commentaries. The track with film historians Lem Dobbs, Nick Redman and Jeff Bond is the best of the bunch.

  • Inferno

    Inferno

This was my third viewing of Inferno this week. My wife, Emily, had not seen it and had requested that we watch it tonight. She enjoyed Suspiria when the two of us watched it for the first time earlier this year, and we were both looking forward to seeing director Dario Argento's follow-up to that movie. My impression, however, is that she will not be in a hurry to re-watch it anytime soon. She really appreciated the look and art direction of the movie but found the overall story to be lacking in comparison.

  • The Omen

    The Omen

For my second viewing in 2 days, I listened to the commentary track with director Richard Donner and editor Stuart Baird.

  • The Omen

    The Omen

I took delivery this past Saturday of "The Omen Collection" on Blu-ray. The set contains the first 3 movies and the remake. The original movie comes with 3 audio commentaries. Today, I listened to the one with film historians Lem Dobbs, Nick Redman and Jeff Bond. For HesterFest this year, I was going to skip special features to free up more time for watching movies. For The Omen, however, I've decided to make an exception.

  • Capote

    Capote

This is my second viewing of Capote within the last 24 hours. This time, I listened to the audio commentary featuring director Bennett Miller and cinematographer Adam Kimmel. It's another excellent track worthy of your attention.

    Capote

I watched Capote tonight while listening to the audio commentary featuring director Bennett Miller and actor Philip Seymour Hoffman. I've seen this movie before, but this was the first time I've listened to one of the commentaries. It's highly recommended for fans of the movie and of Hoffman. I'll listen to the second commentary track soon.
