Apples ★★★★½

minimalist directing but very effective, especially the springboard diving scene exactly shows how long take used with contrast (such as a handheld underwater shot) could have stunning impact
love the deadpan humour (it makes me wonder whether it is really supposed to be funny, which is even more intriguing)
only that the storyline seems to be too loose and lack focus
but it appears to me that he did not really forget anything, but pretending to have amnesia? which is quite stunning for me if my interpretation is true
anyway i really loved this style of filmmaking, it looks effortless but like every shot is so well-designed and well-executed
