  I slept on it. I dreamt on it. And yes, EEAAO will remain my first and thusfar only 5 STAR film on Letterboxd! I am part of the club! I had (and still have) this crazy principle where I felt "no movie is perfect" thus the highest any film could ever go, in my mind, is one notch under the perfect score. My current top 4 are all rated 4.5 as well…

  ...suuuuuuuper boring.

  Turns out you can’t just be Japanese and regurgitate played out horror tropes, film it with a shaky camera and expect it to be scary, who knew?!

  A couple of things I don’t get but mainly I don’t get why a Secret Service agent is going after a counterfeiter. Aren’t they like just looking after the president? I dunno, I’m not American. I could look it up but yea anyway that chase scene after picking up the “chinaman” is bonkers and one of the best I’ve seen. Better than the French Connection in my opinion. And Friedkin is so naughty freaky, I like.

  
  And oh yea, a great title... To Live and Die in LA. Really elevates the film.
