  Sure, it's pretty far fetched premise wise, but still it's done in such a way that you really buy into it.

  Plus, there is the performances by Sissy Spacek, Piper Laurie, PJ Soles, Nancy Allen, and Amy Irving, that really make the movie.

  That and the soundtrack, and the atmosphere.

  After seeing the film, you won't look at proms and high schools, the same way.

  Nor, would you want to go your high school reunion.

  It's awe inspiringly beautiful, and almost documentarish. I also love the soundtrack, too.

  However, given that it is pretty heavy at times, with it's subject matter a younger audience may want to wait a while before seeing it.
