The Killing of a Sacred Deer

Seems to me to be a take on the absurdity of the nuclear family and the idea that it should be headed by a patriarchal figure, but its Yorgos Lanthimos so who tf knows, we're all just along for the ride. Just like The Lobster I think I loved it but I don't think I get it.

Classic Spielberg bland awards season stuff but does its job just fine. Everyone is extremely 'acting' but I liked Odenkirk and Cross' smaller performances, and Stuhlberg who after CMBYN I just want to see in everything. I loved the short Nixon phone call bits, which gave such an ominous feeling to what must have been a terrifying presidency to live through. Anyway this is exactly what you think it is.
