Jamie Carrick’s review published on Letterboxd:
Following the epic spectacle that was Avengers: Endgame would have been a hard task for any film, never mind a sequel in a sub-franchise that has firmly planted tropes of high school rom-coms in its DNA. Spider-Man has never been the dramatic core of this universe, so I was pleased when it kept the high energy action sequences with some great uses of humour and Holland's ever-committed performance. Gyllenhaal has such a wild energy in this film that it's great to see.
Also when THAT happened in the first post-credits scene...I howled.
Zendaya continues to grow as an interesting actress and screen presence - I need more!
