i will eventually write a real review in place of this maybe when I'm not feeling every painful emotion at once but for now: this is everything i've ever wanted in a movie. it's perfect.

i have never felt so conflicted and upset while watching a movie before. in the 2 hours of the film i kept going back and forth between thinking it's either genius or completely senselessly disgusting. i think i, to some degree, understand what aronofsky was trying to say and i appreciate the biblical references, especially in regards to the role of "Him" as god, forgiving the masses no matter what in return for adoration and worship. in the first hour…
