Once you accept the context of the film as an ode to 1960s Hollywood, and that it's basically a duo-comedy it's impossible not to enjoy this film so much. I'm honestly in awe by it from the first scene to the last. The classy and contemporary songs such as "Out Of Time" or "California Dreamin" set against the backdrop of Hollywood 1969 is freaking majestic, I honestly felt like I was driving through those streets and seeing the night come alive with its bright colors in LA. It is not a perfect film like Parasite is, but if a film can make me that happy of course it's a 5 out of 5 film for me. This is my 3rd watch and I want to watch it again as soon as possible, or just until I get tired of it which I think is impossible.
Also, I'm not sure if anyone caught that detail, but when Cliff came from Spawn Ranch to pick up Rick after the Lancer shooting, Rick was ranting about Trudi and DeCateau, lol Trudi is just 8 and she is living rent-free in his head.
