“With endless love, we left you sleeping. Now we're sleeping with you. Don't wake up.”
28 Days Later is one of the best zombie films of all time. Cillian Murphy and Naomi Harris deliver great performances and bring a lot to this film. Waking up in an apocalyptic London, Jim quickly has to come to his senses once he has a group of zombies running towards him.
The way this movie is shot is actually really cool and I feel adds to the grittiness and tension of the film. It gives it that low budget feel which adds to the charm of it. The zombies are terrifying in the way that they aren’t like typical zombies in horror movies. They run incredibly fast and they’re relentless.
The score is one of my all time favorites and one that should be talked about more. It’s eerie and suspenseful and adds to the film.
