I don’t know if Field of Dreams is “good,” but I freaking love it.
Not sure what to say besides that this film is essentially perfect, at least for me. Three acts, all with their own distinctness.
I was hooked in the first act, when they’re at Gondo’s home. It feels claustrophobic—that isn’t the right descriptor—maybe narrow is better. And then the second act hits and they’re on the on the train. From there it was just so incredibly fun, again, for me.
And that ending. It’s hard to end a movie better.
