Like any Hitchcock film, the atmosphere is so damn cozy. I love being in this apartment, I love the people who's there and I love the studio look and the beautiful background. I also love the brilliant details. And yeah, I love the dark humor. Classic Hitchcock, couldn't have been better!
With this one, it’s only fragments that shine. It’s when the camera floats through the screen and strong lightening and hard contrasts captures the emotions that flows in the air. The humans move so elegantly. Like in a perfectly choreographed dance. The epic tone from the soundtrack hits the visual imagery brilliantly. But as a whole… the movie feels too… distant.
