Boyhood meets Brokeback Mountain

This is a strong coming of age film about a gay black boy growing up and the different people that influence and shape him in his life. The screenplay is flawless, the cinematography almost dreamlike and the acting is terrific, this is a deeply layered and nuanced film that keeps an emotional grip on you the whole way through, and will make you question your own life when you're finished, an important film you should seek out.
