I remain pissed about the Arclight.
This is my favorite of McKay’s “serious” movies. It’s a bit heavy-handed and a little lazy with some of the Internet-y jokes, but i think that’s small potatoes in the grand scheme of what the movie is about.
An allegory about climate change is exhausting territory to begin with, and a lot of the points made in the movie are points that have been made before, but i still think it’s a worthy effort. Leo gets his Network moment and McKay gets to imagine how we’d chew it up and spit it out. I also really liked Mark Rylance in this.
