This is peak Shyamalan, gave me absolutely everything I could want out of it. I love that he’s still finding ways to create twists that don’t make it feel like he’s using it as a crutch. Also, Shyamalan horror has this unique quality in that it excels at making you incredibly uncomfortable over outright scared, and that’s definitely on display here. M. Night has never made perfect movies, and there are some of his usual issues with the writing in this one, but it’s one of his strongest in recent memory.
It’s just exciting that movies as weird as this are still getting made.
