Booksmart is a fresh take on the teenage coming of age film which so many films miss the mark on, Booksmart hits all the points.
The characters are well developed and well represented in a funny way without making them cliche, stereotyped versions of teenagers. This makes them easier to identify with instead of having the classic, 'mean girl, nerd, jock', they're more well rounded. The narrative isn't too complicated making it easy to stay engaged with Amy and Molly's journey. This film doesn't take itself seriously and just gives you a chance to switch off and enjoy the ride, what every comedy should be.
