    Second only to AIRPLANE! In the comedy sub-genre we used to call Everything’s Funny when we were kids, Leslie Nielsen and the ZAZ team revive their nearly DOA 1982 TV series Police Squad to hilarious effect.

    Ira Newborn’s score, and especially his theme, contribute to the movie’s overall success, as do the terrific title sequence and Lt. Frank Drebin’s misadventures as an opera singer and an umpire during the climactic baseball game.
