Jason Linsel’s review published on Letterboxd:
Halloween is one of the (many) horror franchises that has completely passed me by so with the release of the new canonical sequel 40 years later, it felt like the right time to give the 1978 original a go. I’m very glad I did.
Let’s be honest, it’s not scary, but it is a refreshingly simple and highly effective horror movie and probably one of the best slasher movies I’ve ever seen. It deserves credit for not needing to show much blood to get its point across too.
