Stella Dallas 1937
WHY did I watch this today? I know it makes me sad but I did it anyway. Anyway it's a great movie, the daughter is pretty annoying in this but Barbara Stanwyck makes up for it.

Trying to be Ella Enchanted, had the cast to do it with, not the execution.
Side rant WHY would you make a quirky Cinderella movie and us the exact song from a far superior quirky Cinderella movie. And Ella Enchanted did the song way better.Criminal underuse of immensely talented Broadway singers. Not enough Billie or Minnie.
