So basically, the problem with this movie is the same as with any movie produced by a big corporation who want to put out safe pieces of work that don't challenge anybody too much. They always believe they're anti-violence while glossing over any violence that seems to them to just be part of the status quo. It starts with the fact that…
for a romcom, it lacks both romance and comedy, and manages to be neither endearing nor funny
there are definitely a couple of emotional scenes towards the end, but the saddest part of the film is definitely just that writer-director joachim trier, a man in his late 40s, casually admits to us through his protagonist that he doesn't think his partners usually ever enjoy giving him oral sex or getting him hard
the protagonist herself is a very dull woman…
batman villains are always kind of based until the writers get bored and make them do mass murders because they don't actually know how wealth inequality harms poor people or causes crime
but some scenes really look awesome, i liked that the action had more impact than it does in most superhero films, and this adaption actually has its soggy emo boy batman do some detective work for once
