Abbie’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Skull is a perfectly watchable film with that cosy 60s and 70s British horror atmosphere that many of us love. However, it’s slacking on just a few too many fronts to warrant a rating higher than 2.5 stars for me. I thought this film was okay but I did find my attention drifting multiple times during the very short runtime. The story itself is an interesting one, but certain suspenseful moments go on too long or are just plain repetitive.
I did enjoy the occasional use of the green filter, and the camera shots through the skull’s eyes were really cool, but overall The Skull just doesn’t come together to create something good enough.
