Jayson’s review published on Letterboxd:
Adam McKay's best film since Anchorman 2. Of his 3 annoying, overly edited political "comedies", this is my favorite. There are some legitimately funny gags and some great performances. It's far from subtle, but there are times where it's aggressive comedy is kind of entertaining.
If this gets an editing nomination, I'm going to lose my mind. The overwhelming editing in this film is genuinely frustrating to watch at times. It feels about 20 minutes longer than it actually is. The mid credit scene is god awful and actively undoes some of the good will that the ending accomplishes, which is probably one of the best scenes that McKay has made.
