Imagine devoting the next 50 years of your life to personally loathing everyone in your hometown because you got roasted in front of your second grade crush when you were 8
This film do little for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I haven’t opened LB in over a week 😳 but Disney+ finally added the Star service to its platform and you know I’m not gonna waste any time before finishing Wes Anderson’s filmography. Tenenbaums tomorrow!
this movie was so good
Also I’m not gonna be able to catch up on everyone’s stuff from the past week so feel free to drop your reviews/lists if you want me to check em out

What a remarkable production. There was this one hallway shot two minutes into the movie that tells you all you need to know. Tatischeff steps halfway through a door, another man down the hallway leans against a wall smoking, a set of spiral stairs snaking upwards in front of a table pushed against the end wall of the hallway, and all I can say is THAT is how you create depth in 2D animation.
It seems simple, but that doesn’t…
Watching a Jack Nicholson performance is so infectious. Every time I watch him he looks like he’s having the most fun an actor has ever had while playing a role, and it’s encapsulated in little moments like the handshake in Batman, stairway in The Shining, or when he’s asking everyone for one more vote in this one. Anyways it was a great watch, could definitely feel it was adapted from a novel though. Ratched wasn’t as menacing as I expected, although I guess her villainy is more centred in control.
