Hereditary ★★

The first modern horror film in many a moon that isn't just a stone cold bore, I'll give it that. The Buckaroo Bonzai of horror/ghost movies, and, yes, I say that only because that film has the title Buckaroo Bonzai. Like Richard Donner saw a bunch of Dreyer. Young filmmakers have started to see the value in 70's schlock, but they still haven't figured out how to make their "concerns" any less than arbitrary.
