absolutely gut wrenching last thirty minutes. wim wender’s style of slow, intentional, visual-driven filmmaking adds so much depth to his characters. the emphasis on isolation, desolation and pursuit is expertly done.

i loved how much natural emotion builds as travis uncovers his past and reconciles with his life, his family, his needs and his errors.

30 Day Movie Challenge, Day 6 (favorite animated film):

What hasn't already been said about Spirited Away? Simply put, this is the best example of Studio Ghibli's talents. Elegant and regal in its presentation but quite heartfelt and sincere in its delivery. A quality that hasn't been reached in quite some time in the medium of animation.
