This was a pretty solid movie! I was genuinely intrigued, and laughed at all the funny moments. I'm actually excited for the second one (which I'm sure will inevitably be made).
Wow. My family got mad at me after this film because I told them I needed space to emotionally process what I just watched. The music, the acting, the dancing... everything felt right. And it was all tied up in a message about love, loss, and following your dreams. I had high hopes for this film, but they were met in every way.
I'm incredibly angry at the older adults who sat behind me talking nonstop because they kind of ruined this film for me. I will try to see it again, but for now all I can comment on is the beauty of the score and how much I loved the realness between characters. I liked how each conversation felt so important and meaningful.
