"Do you know how much I love you? I love you more than everything."
Beautiful Boy is based on a true story and has been getting some awards nominations. I have no problem with nonlinear structure, but I felt this one jumped around a bit too much and the film just never fully sucked me in. It has some really good moments, but I didn't think it was as powerful as it could have been. Steve Carell gives one of his best performances though and Timothée Chalamet is even better, but on the whole it didn't quite work for me. 6.5/10
I like it more in retrospect, so I'm raising it to 7/10
