Billy Kramer: "I hate you!"
Ted Kramer: "And I hate you back you little shit!"
Kramer vs. Kramer won the Oscar for Best Picture. Is it a worthy winner? Well I liked it a lot, but Apocalypse Now came out the same year and it definitely shouldn't have won over that. As I said though, it is a very good film. It is well made and has incredible acting. Meryl Streep is great as is the little kid (Justin Henry). Dustin Hoffman won an Oscar for his role and he is amazing. I personally think Pacino should have won over him though.
Kramer vs. Kramer has many funny moments as well as some emotionally powerful ones. It has a good balance between comedy and drama. I loves the central relationship between the father and son. It just felt so real. Overall, though I don't think it deserved Best Picture (or Best Actor) Kramer vs. Kramer is still a really good film and a definite classic. 8/10
