Rumble Fish

Rumble Fish ★★★½

This is the second time I've seen Rumble Fish and I was a little disappointed this time. I still liked it, but not as much as last time. The music feels a bit out of place at times, the pacing isn't always great, and the story is nothing special in my opinion. That being said, it's beautifully shot in Black and White and has a great cast. Matt Dillon is very good in the lead role, a young Nicolas Cage has a memorable supporting role, and Diane Lane and Dennis Hopper are good as well. Mickey Rourke chips is with a subtle, but strong performance and ends up stealing the show. Overall, despite some shortcomings, this one is made worthwhile due to its cast and a few great scenes scattered throughout. 7/10
