Literal fire! And passion! I'm a sucker for forbidden love stories, but this one adds a nice feminist touch. The societal constrictions on women are as tight as their corsets causing them to choke back tears/emotions/sexuality. This film perfectly encapsulates what it's like to be in love. How you want to burn that person's image into your memory. Remembering every conversation, gesture and detail of their face. Sciamma is getting stronger and stronger in her filmmaking. I can feel it!
