It is no easy task to make a movie where the optimism, romance, and comedy feel classic to the genre while everything else feels fresh and wonderful. Loved watching this and loved the feelings that stayed with me after it ended.

If aliens accidentally got sent this movie, they would never ever be able to understand it or parse how it connects to the information they've already gathered about us. It would set back their research hundreds of years and throw everything they thought they knew about us into question. That is to say, I celebrate this strange film beamed to us from another dimension.
NOTE: This film should not be "rated" out of five stars because it exists between the folds of perceivable reality. I believe this is both a one star and five star film simultaneously.
