Really exciting and interesting. Affleck did a great job as the ADHD Accountant and the action scenes were really well staged. The bad guys couldn't shoot straight, but otherwise it was fairly believable. The best Airstream ever!

Pretty solid actioner. I'm not sure the story always held together, but it moved fast enough that you didn't notice. I sometimes felt like Mallory (the wonderful Gina Carano) was something of the perfect embodiment of a woman professional assassin as imagined by a guy, but Carano still carried off the role with aplomb. Really enjoyable

    A Very Long Engagement

    ★★★½

A Very Long Engagement is the 2004 film from the Amelie crew, including director Jean-Pierre Jeunet and actress Audrey Tautou. It concerns a young fiance's search for answers after word gets back her lover has been lost at the front. Just finished watching the last 2/3rds of "Red", the kinetic, over-the-top, over-the-hill gang action movie, featuring Bruce Willis, John Malkovic, Helen Mirren and Mary-Louise Parker. It was pretty fun although quite ridiculous. It sure seems like they were having a blast making the movie. A couple cool movie tricks (like when Malkovic shot the RPG coming at him, causing a back blast that took out the shooter) raised this up a little. Enjoyable waste of time, I guess.
