Juan’s review published on Letterboxd:
I saw this in 70mm and had the fortune to hear Gary Lockwood in a Q&A after the movie. Because I refuse to talk about this movie, here are some of the highlights of Lockwood's Q&A:
"You're making a mistake by coming to see this movie in 70mm, it's much better on an iPhone."
"[Kubrick is] the only director I've ever worked with that was smarter than me."
"I was playing football at UCLA and I hated it."
"I'm sitting there and I said: here's Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke, these brilliant guys, and this shit that they've written is terrible!" (On deleted HAL paranoia scenes)
"Kubrick liked asses."
"Tom Hanks once told me he knew he wanted to be an actor because he saw this movie."
Interviewer: "Do you remember when you saw this movie for the first time what was your initial reaction?"
Lockwood: "Oh I was totally stoned."
