The Irishman

The Irishman ★★★★½

Of course I love this movie! It's 3.5 hours long, it's directed by Martin Scorsese, and it has Joe Pesci cursing out Fidel Castro!

Surrounded by titans of acting, Joe Pesci gets to show how good of an actor he is, with one of the best performances I have seen in a very long time. The man is absolutely mesmerizing, conveying a silent power like nobody else can.

The movie is really great. 3.5 hours long and I still didn't want it to end. And every time I was concerned that the story didn't have anywhere else to go, Scorsese came back and knocked me off my feet.

This movie only fails at two things, though I'm not sure if it cares about them in the first place:
Conveying the importance Hoffa had to the world
Casting a good Bobby Kennedy (still did it better than Jackie though)
